Other essential agricultural products include lentils, fall potatoes, dry edible peas, apricots, sweet corn green peas for processing and asparagus. Of particular significance is the apple trade. The state of Washington has led the nation in apple production since the 1920s because of the warm, dry summers and cold winters of the central region, that comprises the Yakima region and the Wenatchee-Okanagan region.

In the year 2007, the total gross state product of Washington State was $311.5 billion. It ranks as the 14th leading state economy within the country. Boeing, the aircraft manufacturer makes its home in Washington State.
